MMST would like to thank Prof Anthony Pinching and the Music in Pinner Series for creating and hosting this extremely special event. Soundscapes – a Charity Concert in support of Music Mind Spirit Trust – portrays the late Prof Paul Robertson’s life, musicianship and profound insights, mostly in his own words and with music that connects to his story, which he set down following the near-death experience that liberated an extraordinary reflection on music and meaning.
Prof Anthony Pinching (narrator) was joined by two exceptional musicians, Fenella Humphreys (violin) & Viv MacLean (piano), interlinking works by Bach, Janacek, Ravel, Beethoven, Elgar, Debussy, Tavener and Russell Pascoe with T S Elliott and passages from Paul's book, Soundscapes – A Musician’s Journey through Life and Death.
