We are delighted to present ‘The Power of Music II’ on Sunday, November 1 at 6.30 in Colet House’s beautiful Top Studio. 

This special concert event is sponsored by the Music Mind Spirit Trust (MMST), a charity that will be featuring talented musicians from two of UK’s leading music conservatoires – gifted young instrumentalists from the Royal Academy of Music, with selected singers from the Royal College of Music in London.  MMST has been in existence for more than 20 years, and produces unique events that promote the medical and well-being benefits of singing music of all styles. 

Join us for our joyous Autumn celebration of Ancestry Appreciation Month, National Family Stories Month and All Souls Day.  Experience your own powerful musical memories through intergenerational song-sharing as we pay tribute to our families and communities through this valuable mentorship opportunity.

By popular demand, we are able to welcome back the engaging tenor and eminent neuro-surgeon Dr Laszlo Nagy, who stands as a symbol of the love of singing with a love of the values of medicine.  Laszlo returns to Colet House with MMST’s Young Artist Musical Ambassadors and the British Opera Academy for this special event on Sunday, November 1st.

There will be the opportunity for audience members to sing a special choir piece in the newly formed Colet Chorus! (There will be a run-through offered on Saturday 24 Oct from 5.15-6 pm, following the Teatime Concert, for those who can make it.
